Search Criteria

Type in a string into the search bar, press Enter, and see the species that match the substring.

To search for substrings in the middle of a species name (e.g. 'lipfern'), put a '%' before the search string

To limit the search to species described in the book, check the "Limit to Book" checkbox.

To limit the search to species with associated images on the website, check the "Limit to Photos" checkbox.

To search families and other hierarchies, check the "Search Families" checkbox.

To restrict the search to a particular type of species (flowering plants, mammals, etc), select the species type

Results

Latin and Common species names matching the string entered, constrained by the other criteria, are returned.

Family names (if 'Search Families' is selected), are in bold and in a larger font.

Species that are present in the book are in Black.

Species that have associated images on the website are in Green.

Species that are in range at the park but were not observed during the book research are in Gray.
